Nestled in the heart of Orangevale, California, Lucky Penny Ranch is a small, family-run farm where kids can connect with nature, animals, and the simple joys of ranch life. From gathering eggs in the chicken coop to brushing our gentle horses, playing with the goats ,every visit offers something new to discover.
Our mission is to instill the love of farm life and share it with our younger community!
Classes
Tiny Farmers 101
Farm Experience for Kids (Ages 3–10)
$25 per family/1 hour Individual or group sessions available.
offering session on Monday and Tuesday mornings
Let your child step into the joy of farm life with this hands-on, interactive experience designed to spark curiosity, confidence, and compassion.
Kids will learn the rhythm of the farm while exploring nature, caring for animals, and making lasting memories!
Activities include:
- Collecting fresh eggs and learning how to mix animal feed
- brushing the horse
- Fun farm games and teamwork challenges to encourage connection and cooperation
Each session combines hands-on learning with creativity and outdoor fun—encouraging children to unplug, get active, and discover the beauty of life on the farm.
Weather permitting.
Beginner horse back riding lessons $75 for 1 hour session
learn basic riding skills,build confidence and learn how to connect with horses .. we teach ground work, how to groom and tack your horse. and Most importantly how to stay safe and have fun!!!

Hi, I'm Chrissy...
I’ve loved horses and animals for as long as I can remember.
My very first horse, Rusty, sparked a lifelong passion that I now love to share with kids of all ages.
At Lucky Penny Ranch, my goal is to help young riders and beginners develop confidence, respect, and a true understanding of horses. From handling, grooming, and care to tacking up and riding- I guide students through every step of horsemanship.
My Mission:
I believe learning about horses isn’t just about riding—it’s about building trust, developing skills, and discovering the joy of connecting with these incredible animals.
Every lesson is hands-on, fun, and tailored to help each rider grow in confidence and knowledge.
I'm a proud Gigi!
Children hold a special place in my heart, and I feel incredibly blessed to share my passion with my two beautiful grandchildren. Watching them grow, explore, and discover the world fills me with joy and purpose. Being part of their journey is one of the greatest gifts life has given me.
